A Trip Into Memories Day 5

Well, it seems we've nearly reached the end of this journey.

But before we dive into these final songs, I want to say thank you for coming this far with me. As you're reading this, I'm probably hard at work creating whatever is next.

I'm writing this on October 2, 2018. I was hoping to have had my next album released by now but I believe it's been delayed for good reason. Mostly, because I've grown up and changed    a lot since the release of these last two songs, and I've wanted to get the delivery of my new material just right.

Part of me that will never change, however, is my deep rooted faith in Jesus Christ. "Pray" is a song about conviction. I wrote the final track about my personal conviction to love others where they are, regardless of differing beliefs and circumstances. Our world has become so vile and so self-centered. I constantly hear things like, "love yourself first" and "gotta look out for myself".

However, this isn't Biblical. Scripture tells us otherwise in Philippians 2:3-4

"Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others."

Regardless of your faith and conviction, I think we can agree that Jesus set the example on caring for others. He met people where they were. He did not care about the way it made him look. He was a servant and he was a leader.

The apostle Paul who wrote Philippians 2 goes on to say..

"In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus:

Who, though having equal status as God,  did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; but instead He made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, and becoming human. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death - even death on a cross!"

Even if we have differing religious viewpoints, I think we can learn a lot from the life of Jesus. I believe the world will be a better place and true happiness is found if when we begin valuing the lives of others before ourselves. So, with that being said, I want to serve you the best that I am able to.

No matter your circumstance or background, I want to be in your corner. So instead of a video at the bottom of this page, I've set up a contact form for prayer requests. If you have any prayer request at all - even if you're doubtful - leave me a message with your prayer request and my band and I will be happy to pray alongside you.
